The initial consultation is limited to understanding the matter at a general level and providing preliminary clarification based on the brief information supplied by the person making the inquiry. It does not include reviewing documents, contracts, judgments or correspondence; examining a case file; conducting detailed legal research; preparing a written legal opinion; or developing or explaining a legal plan or strategy.

If the matter requires document review, detailed assessment, legal action or representation, the scope of work and applicable professional fees will be agreed separately before the engagement begins.

Requesting or attending an initial consultation does not constitute acceptance of the engagement or create an ongoing lawyer-client relationship unless separately confirmed in writing.
